To get rid of health variations and better understand aging processes in ethnically diverse populations, reliable techniques for increasing involvement of minority populations in health research study are needed. To develop an effective strategy that will inspire older adults to volunteer for research study, especially those from disparity populations, requires understanding factors of successful recruitment and designing innovative strategies to deal with known barriers to recruitment. We supply two kinds of resources on this topic.

    Methods of Building a Health Registry of Diverse Older Adults

    One ingenious recruitment method is the production of health computer system registries. CADC professors (Drs. Celia Kaplan, Tung Nguyen, and Leah Karliner) reviewed 6 publications by systematically reporting methodological elements of establishing and carrying out health pc registries targeting older grownups. The types of registries consist of usage of social networks, and neighborhood organizations.
